Heritage Individual Placement & Support
Our Individual Placement and Support services (IPS) is an evidence-based program for individuals whose employment has been interrupted due to various mental health or substance use concerns.
The IPS Team is dedicated to helping job seekers find employment opportunities based on their individual preferences, strengths, abilities, and prior employment experiences. We believe that work plays a major role in an individual’s recovery process. Regardless of work history, age, gender, mental health, or substance use we believe that everyone can secure stable employment.

How does it work?
Our Employment Specialists engage directly with individuals in this program. The individual job seeker is encouraged to take the lead as much as is possible by specifying what type of employment they are looking for including workplace environment, number of hours, work shift, what they want to disclose if at all, and location of their work. The employment specialists also work in the community engaging employers to learn about and understand their business needs. It is this process, knowing both the needs of the employer and the skill and interests of the job seeker, that creates the atmosphere for both the employer and the job seeker to find the best possible job fit.
