Heritage Behavioral Health Center Relocation Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Heritage Behavioral Health Center’s mission states we will improve the mental and physical well-being of those we serve and advance behavioral health in our community. Our mission is supported by our values and, in particular, our value of Integrity stating that “we are honest, ethical and true to our mission, vision, and values while doing the right thing even when no one is watching.”

With this focus, it is important to respond to our community and answer questions that many may have related to our impending move to 2800 N. Water Street, also known as Northgate Plaza.

For context, Heritage was given a building donation, as well as an additional donation for architectural needs, and our Board of Directors and Executive Team spent many months evaluating the feasibility of accepting the building donation as an expansion and relocation of our services. With that, Heritage was honored to accept this donation and move forward with plans to move all services to the future Northgate Plaza campus.

We know that this move generates many questions for our community members and stakeholders, and we hope to answer those questions here.  We will start with responding to the following questions and add responses to those questions that come our way:

Where is Heritage moving?

The current plan is for Heritage to move all operating functions currently at our main operations at 151 N. Main, to the Northgate Plaza location.

Will Heritage be occupying the entire Northgate location?

Heritage has accepted a property donation of all buildings at Northgate Plaza where Discover Church is currently located.

What will happen to Heritage’s current downtown building (151 N. Main Street) where most services are located?

Currently, the plan is to move all services from this location to Northgate Plaza. There are many moving parts as we expand and with that, the final plan for our current location is not set in stone.

Will Oasis Day Center and the Wellness Recovery Drop-In Center move to Northgate?

No, both incredibly valuable programs will continue to be located within our community separate from Heritage’s main location to ensure access to care for all that need these essential services.
